Info: Configuring modus with a Proxy Server

If you use the proxy settings in modusGate or modusMail and are experiencing issues with anti-spam / anti-virus updates or V6 license key validation (format = xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx), please verify the following configuration requirements:

1. Allow all traffic IN and OUT from *.vircom.com

2. Follow the instructions outlined in this Microsoft document:
      http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317541
 
3. From the command prompt, run the following:
    C:\>proxycfg -u


Note:

Failing to follow steps 2 and 3 will result in a failure to update your spam and virus filters. All updates are done through HTTPS, therefore your modus server must be able to update its root certificate to confirm the validity of Vircom's wildcard certificate (*.vircom.com).
