Product: ModusMail
Version & Build: All
Problem:
End users may experience slow POP/IMAP connections and/or time-outs when using ModusMail with Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista.
Solution:
The auto-negotiate function of the TCP/IP stack in Windows Vista can be disabled:
- Log onto the Windows Vista workstation using the Administrator account
- Using an account that has Administrator rights will not work
- Open a Command Prompt and type the following:
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
If you are using Microsoft CryptoAPI to negotiate the SSL handshakes on a Windows server, please consult http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216482/en-us.
Note: This fix is experimental. Should you encounter similar problems, please report them to support@vircom.com.
